Overview
Three Circulations Infusion draws on a founding intuition of Chinese thought: 通 (tōng), the harmony of what flows freely.
Its composition brings together three plants of the pharmacopoeia, chosen for their gentle, complementary actions on the three great movements — Qi, Blood and Fluids: Chinese red sage root (丹参 Dan Shen), hawthorn berries (山楂 Shan Zha) and astragalus root (黄芪 Huang Qi).
Presented as individual tea bags, it offers the spirit of a traditional preparation without the constraint of long decoctions — one simple cup, for the afternoon or the evening.
Traditional uses
A composed infusion to gently accompany the 通 (tōng) through the everyday.
A simple ritual to slip into the end-of-day routine.
Preparation and traditional-use quantity
- Simple infusion: 1 tea bag in a large cup (250 ml), water just off the boil (90-95°C), 5 to 10 minutes covered
- Regular use: 1 to 2 tea bags a day for 2 to 4 weeks, as feels right
- Everyday-friendly: pleasant flavour, no demanding protocol — easy to fold into the routine
Precautions
Avoid during pregnancy, and when taking medication that influences the fluidity of the Blood.
Seek a practitioner’s advice before any prolonged use.
